(more randomness)
Marmaid Girl
Stepping onto the water; it laps on the shore The chorus of chirping; silences for A moment or two; as they all hold their breath Waiting for magic; or waiting for death Two more slight footfalls; across those calm waves Crashing up into; the rockiest caves The world all awaits; for a miracle to see But then she’s dragged under; dead she must be Life moves on; another lost soul One more added; to the death toll Or so they have figured; or so it may seem Not one noticed that silvery gleam Of scales underwater; and two eyes icy blue Peering up into the sky for a view The young maiden stares; up at the bright sun How lithely she moves; and thinks of the fun She’ll have in the sea; then go return on home Out into the sea does the girl roam Little does she know; little does she see She’s trapped forever; an eternity For once you are water; the land will not bide Forever in oceans the fish girl must hide Magick’s a miracle; but also a curse What might seem good; is doomed to get worse An eternity of swimming beneath the water’s shore Is what she’ll suffer forever and more.
