Drowningspirit was sick of dwelling in the shadows. He missed the taste of fish. There were few clean streams on Lostclan territory, and none contained many fish. If they did, they weren't the large, juicy ones he was used to in Riverclan.
"I'm sick of hiding." he scowled. "What are we waiting for? We're supposed to be running the forest, not Lostclan." he growled with contempt. How had the Four lost their power over the forest? Things seemed to be going so well after he had killed Emeraldeye...but then his apprentice had escaped, and she was just as talented as her old mentor. Riverclan hadn't suffered a loss that they couldn't replace.

Ghostflight hissed into the darkness, her eyes glowing dangerously.
"It would be easier if it wasn't just us. I wish we could find the other Two!" she snarled, her tail lashing in her anger. She was sick of hiding out in this dim cave. She'd rather be prowling around the territory that was theirs by right- to rule over the lake with LostClan to back them. She glanced at Drowningspirit, a piece of her anger evaporating into affection for the tom.
She sighed. "LostClan is too strong willed. Especially with my brother in such a position of power. If only we could sway some of them to our cause..." her eyes flashed darkly as an idea crossed her mind. Perhaps they could do that. If only Tigereyes hadn't acted the fool and gotten himself killed. They could have used his talents in persuasion.

Drowningspirit nodded. "What did you have in mind?" he asked. "The easiest way to tempt them is with the promise of power...but I don't want them getting any ideas about leading us." he growled.

Ghostflight stopped; only then did she realize she had been pacing back and forth. She sighed, sitting on her haunches, considering what they could do.
"Those four kits. I saw the way they whisper together. I've seen them glare at my brother in contempt. If I didn't know better I'd say they were plotting against him. So young to be so cunning. Something else must be at play with those four. Perhaps we can persuade them to turn on LostClan," she mused, her eyes narrowed as she peered outside their den.
Ginny shivered, Honeysquirrel's stolen kits asleep around her. They knew little of the evils Ghostflight and Drowningspirit were plotting. The kittypet didn't like to think that soon they would know all too well. She didn't like the thought of those kits being raised by such a ruthless pair. Even though they weren't hers, she felt protective of them. If only she had the courage to stand up to those two evil cats! Suddenly she felt Ghostflight's cunning yellow eyes on her and her eyes widened in alarm. Had the dark she-cat been reading her thoughts? The glare was clearly a warning. Don't get any ideas was the unmistakable message displayed in that cruel gaze.

Swirlkit shivered, pressing up against Ginny. "I don't like them," he squeaked in a small voice so that the two traitors didn't hear him. "I miss mother." he shivered again. He sighed, curling his tail against his paws. "I wish we were back at home." He looked at his other siblings and wondered if they were ever going to get home to see their mother and father again. He missed them terribly. He gazed at Ghostflight and Drowningspirit with undisguised, pure hatred, as much as a kit could muster.

Drowningspirit's icy blue gaze fixed on Swirlkit and he smirked. "Raising a band of kits, huh?" he asked, shaking his head. "What would my father think?" he asked aloud. Who cares. he thought, bristling. His father had been disappointed that Drowningspirit had been born with his mother's smaller and and less muscular frame. He had never been a good enough fighter for Bloodeyes. "Perhaps it's time we payed Lostclan a visit." he said to Ghostflight.

Swirlkit heard the LostClan words, but she didn't hear what Drowningspirit had asked himself. Upon these words he shrank against the other pelt more; he had heard enough and seen enough about this LostClan to know that they were NOT good cats. "Why are we going to see L-LostClan?" he forced himself to steel himself and squeak this out. He didn't know what their reaction would be to him speaking out loud.

Drowningspirit flicked his ears at the kit's comment. Still curious, as terrified as they are. he thought to himself. "Don't worry, you don't have to go." he meowed to the kit. "They don't care much for cats that don't have black pelts." he added.

Swirlkit nodded, slightly relieved, and retracted from his shrunk position (coudln't find a better way to put what he did...). He was relieved that he wasn't going to LostClan, but he was sort of angry with himself for being so scared. They WOULD get back to ThunderClan (thats the clan they're from right? *forgets things*). He would be a warrior! He couldn't show fear... His mind was flooded with images of home. His mother's comforting mew, purr, and pelt. He sighed, his eyes filling with tears, and he closed his eyes momentarily.

"That's it. Don't be afraid. You want to be a powerful warrior someday, don't you? Lostclan won't change that. We'll help you to be one of the most powerful cats in the forest." Drowningspirit meowed, using his talent of voice mimicry to make his sound more like Brackenfur's, the deputy of Thunderclan.

((Brackensmoke i think lol xD just saying)) Swirlkit shrank against Ginny again, knowing enough about the two traitors to not trust anything. He knew what another one of her siblings had said to him before...they were mean. They didn't follow the warrior code. So why would he trust them? He shivered as the traitor's voice mimicked that of Brackensmokes. During his short stay at the ThunderClan camp, her remembered the warm deputy's voice. He couldn't be here...could he?

"Suit yourself" Drowningspirit cooed. "If you don't want to train with us, you'll be behind when you go back to Thunderclan. We'll let you start training as kits...then you can be better than the apprentices now, and the best of warriors when you are older! What do you think of that?" He meowed.

Swirlkit shivered again at the cat's cooing tone. Something in it wasn't right, as if there was just a strain of light malice in the she-cats silky tone. He didn't know what to do. He looked around at his sleeping siblings, and gave a halfhearted lift of her shoulder. "I-I don't know," he squeaked in a small voice. "Would that really make me better?"

"Of course! Don't you want to see different parts of the forest? One of the first parts of training is seeing the clan territories. After all, you can't win a battle if you don't know the land you're fighting on, let alone hunt very well. What do you say?" The tom looked at the kit, surprised at how much he wanted the kit to agree to come with him.
