Moontears glanced up at the evening sky. It was going to be the half moon in a day or two, and he would be going to the Moonpool in the clans' territory for the first time. He felt nervous and awestruck at the though of meeting the clans' warrior ancestors. Would they accept him? They must accept me, otherwise, why would I have received the sign that I should have come here? he thought to himself, trying to calm his nerves. He sat in the center of the camp, gazing at the stars.

She enjoyed the serenity the stars and moon seemed to give- StarClan knew some serenity was what WindClan needed as of late. She loved sleeping under the stars, loved the sense of togetherness out in the open camp. WindClan was her family, and she felt like she belonged here now.
Her crystal blue gaze caught sight of Moontears, who was looking up at the sky. She sat down next to him, turning her eyes skyward as well, the endless span of Silverpelt reflecting in her clear blue orbs. She could sense that he was nervous- in a few nights would be his first meeting with the other medicine cats. She remembered how nervous she was when she became an official medicine apprentice... that was a night she would never forget.
"Don't worry. StarClan accepted me. Surely you were destined to join WindClan and train me," she purred, rubbing up against her mentor lightly. She was determined to reassure him. She believed that he was meant to be her mentor, and that they both belonged in WindClan.

Moontears blinked appreciatively at Starpaw's support. "It's odd, isn't it? We're both outsiders, but Starclan has relied on us to keep the lineage of the medicine cats alive in Windclan." he meowed. "I hope I can pass on some new knowledge from living with the tribe. Maybe it will be easier for the other medicine cats to accept me then." he wondered. "What are the other medicine cats like?" he asked.

"I only really know Willowleaf, she helped me a lot when my old mentor died. She's very wise, and kind," Whitepaw smiled at the thought of seeing the ShadowClan medicine cat again.
"I hope StarClan has some good things to tell us..." she prayed. She usually felt StarClan around, giving her strength, but her connection to them was always much stronger at the halfmoon.

Moontears nodded. "I hope we can ease some of Sunstar's troubles." he meowed. "Maybe Starclan will give us a sign on how to defeat Lostclan or at least restore peace to Windclan for some time." He shifted his paws beneath him and looked at the stars again. His muscles quivered at meeting the starry cats again that had sent him dreams back in the mountains. "So we can share herb tips, but not dreams, right?" he asked, suddenly feeling insecure again.
