Ripper let out a startled back and then shook off Vernon with a snarl. "It wasn't [/i]my[/i] idea to bring the pup!" he growled. Though flustered, you could tell that he was slightly amused. It had been a long time since there had been any young dogs in his pack. "And stop complaining, both of you! Whining about being hungry doesn't feed any dogs, and being called "grumpy" is going to be the least of our worries." he snapped, regaining some control of the situation. His eyes drifted towards Fly and he tried to bite back a grin.

Vernon landed with a crash in the soft undertoe below him, standing up at Ripper's tone, Tinuke walking up to Vernon with a fatherly guise expressed on his face. He couldn't help but smile, he had grown attached to the pup ever since his father died. And besides, he was now his responsibility. "Oh, he ain't all that bad..." Tinuke said as Vernon swipped at his ears with his paws, Tinuke snorting his repute for the game. "Just a little too... playful..." he shook his ears out. "You know, you're supposed to be the next Master, lil' one." He speculated as he picked up the pup by the scruff of his neck, where he was helpless, Vernon letting out a pout as he dangled by Tinuke's fangs, "Let's get you fed..." he said as he placed the pup back at the center of the line, nudging him forward as the formation started walking again. "You watch him abit?" Tinuke asked U'Kuma, who nodded, smiling as she picked up the pace to join the pup's side. Tinuke trotted up to Ripper and slowed down, gaining at his left. "Don't like cars, eh?" he asked the rotwieler with a grin. "They're not so bad when you stay along the shoulder, just don't catch yourself walking in the middle of the road..." he warned as he errected his ears forward, sptting the highway through a distant blured aurora. "Master and I would go to the city at least once a week, usually just searching for lost dogs, and if there were cats, we usually would escort them to the clans territories." He smiled. "Cape Hope's not so bad though, you can either have a lot of fun, or get into a lot of trouble." he smiled. "I don't know how the local people there will take to U'Kuma though..." he said as he partially glanced over his shoulder and at the young wolf. "Think that might arouse their suspisions?" he asked him.

Ripper looked at the younger husky knowingly. "Oh, I've had my share of interactions with cars." he barked. "I've lost more than one good pack member to injury over the years. I'd just rather stay away from man when given the opportunity in general." he explained. He followed Tinuke's gaze back to the part she-wolf. "Let them be suspicious, if they wish too," he growled, "no one shall lay a paw on her."

(You do realize that Tinuke's six, right? xD
"Master used to tell me that men were the one reason we were put on this earth. To serve him." He said as they continued to walk through the grass. "That not everything that comes from man is evil, that within evil, there lies some good." he paused, his steady burning eyes carefuly observing the environment. "In my training, we too, were taught to avoid men, but these were taught by a clan of rogue dogs, they called themselves the Inga Ninja Clan. They lived their lives like you and me, nomads. With every sun-rise, they faught to survive, and their teachings were passed down to me." he explained. "Of course, it all came to end when they were whiped out by a rival clan, and I fled to the city, was captured by the men there, and later adopted." he stated. "But then that hurricane came through, and when it came time to evacuate, my new master's father told him to leave me... and I was found floating in the Cape Hope Bay, just by the bridge. Master took me in, I didn't even remember my own name." he explained as he dropped his head. "I'll admit it, the death of the master has left a void in my being that can never be replaced, but then again, I'm not going to let it slow me down. Perhaps it was meant to be, to get me out of there." he glanced over his shoulder and at the quickly disapearing fortress beyond the hills of swaying grass. "But humans? -They're not bad... only a small percentage of them are... you'll see... where we're going, humans are your best friends, especially the younger ones." he smiled. "But, I think Vernon will be the one getting all the attention..." he glanced over his shoulder once more to lay eyes upon the pup as he leaped up at U'kuma's face, his distant laughter bringing a sense of emotion within him that had long been supressed. "I'm pretty sure this journey will help him, it'll give him the training he needs, the experience he requires." he said with a firm and steller voice that clearly revealed his experience. "In order to get to the city, we'll have to cross unfriendly territory." His eyes hardened, turning to burn directly in Ripper's very own. "Usually Thunderhawk's henchmen hang out over there, and they don't take too kindly to Philantrophy crossing through their territory. -But then again, for his sake," he glanced at Vernon, "it's the easiest way across, unless you want to go crawling through junkyards and boyouts." he grinned. "If it comes to it, we'll just fight them off, but if we can, avoid a confrontation at the same time." he said as he felt the muscle in his legs grow tense. "Their border's about two hundred meters up." he warned as he already felt his hackles raise, the oncoming sent flowing through his nostrals.

"Your not serious.." Fly barked comming up from rippers side. She gave a look to her master and then to the pup. "I vote..NO INTERACTION!" she then yelled at the top of her lungs. "Why dont we just start training..like oh i dont know..before we cross over the border?!"

(ahahah no, I thought Tinuke was younger, oops)
Ripper listened thoughtfully. "There is freedom and captivity. Living with man is a mix of the two. But freedom with limitations still isn't free. I prefer the company of my own kind." Fly approached just as Ripper had finished his sentence. He gave an amused grin to Tinuke at the she-dog's words.

Tinuke followed Ripper's eyes, landing on the female who had spoken, voicing her input on the situation. "They travel in twos..." he explained to the both ofthem. "And if five can't take two, I don't know what will." he let out a sheepish grin as he smiled at Fly's remark, taking in the humor of the situation, rather than seeing her fear. "Besides, what better training can you get than the experience you gain from actually living it?" he asked her as his pale eyes lazed down on her figure, where the siberian husky's experience came more than what met the eye. "Relax... Fly, is it?" he pronounced her name, "they're usually fat and cower off before the first blow is dealt." he assured her in a calm and ansthetic voice as he continued to walk through the grass, spotting two bulges gazing down at them.

Ripper shrugged his muscular shoulders. "Bring it on. I'm ready for anything." he barked in a confident tone.

Tinuke errected his ears with eager anticipation, growing excited at other's stresses, watching as the two... no... three dogs came up to them. "I thought you said they traveled in twos?" U'kuma asked as she leaned into Tinuke. "They..." Tinuke swallowed, the bigger one would definately be a challenge. He was a Mastiff, a little beyond Ripper's size. "Ripper, you got the mastiff...?" he asked as he glanced at his leader with worried eyes, granted, though he was skilled in the means of combat, he was only 52 pounds, and a medium sized dog at that, no match compaired to a mastiff. "Leave the Malmute, and doberman to me..." he said as he stood by Ripper's side, paws firm, tail errect as he let out a soft pant, one that revealed his fangs. "You know the rules! -No tresspassing!" the Malmute said as he slowed to a stop, eyeing the pup. "Just want to pass through, we're going to the city." Tinuke said in the kindest voice he could, though it was spoken with much effort. "No one goes anywhere until Master Thunderhawk says!" "So? -He calls himself master, now?" Tinuke grinned, his legs stiff, his tail locked up high. "You!" The mastiff said with a resounding bark, stepping down with one paw. "You're from Philantrophy! -Aren't you!?" he growled. Tinuke took a step back, he couldn't help it if he was well known, he lowered his head at the site of the massive dog that was probably three times his own body weight, himself, taking another step back. "Maybe?" he tried to act brave before his leader, his fear summing up some courage that was left in him. "In that case, we might as well just kill you right now, then... tell us... what's a little mutt like yous doing so far from your home?" the mastiff laughed. "Feeding the little one." Tinuke glanced at Vernon "I'm not little!" "Hush now..." U'Kuma pushed him back into the grass. "Stuck on baby-sitting detail, are we?" the mastiff laughed. "What's it to you? -At least I'm doing something worth a cause." he bared his fangs. "I'll enjoys using the lot of you as toothpicks." he growled as he assumed a posture, Tinuke lowering himself in a defensive-evasive posture, getting ready to flank. "Well... Ripper....?" he asked as he glanced at the leader before him. "Say we give them a beating or two?" "Get 'em!"

Ripper nodded, shrugging his shoulders to show off his muscles. He shot a sideways glance at Fly, and then back to the enemy at hand. "Master Thunderhawk?" Ripper sneered. "Don't make me laugh, you pig!" The rotweiler roared as he launched himself into combat.

Under the confusion, Tinuke, with his small size, leaped under Ripper just as he lunged forward, grass flailing about him as he dove under, extending his legs forward, and latching to the earth once more, shoving his hindlegs forward into a quick arch as he leaped right, the malmute's eyes widdening at his speed as he brought his hind legs forward in a break, only to have the husky glare into his eyes as he opened his fangs in bitter remorse, crashing into the dog with the force of an atomic bomb, the sound of impact tearing through the silence. U'kuma kept low, her fur bristled, defending the pup as they watched from a distance, watching with firm eyes as the quick battle took place before her eyes. "Master Tinuke's fast..." Vernon said with an observing young eyes, U'Kuma turning to face the pup, dropping one ear.
We all have a demon within us... sins that we must atone for with the mochery of fate. Perhaps Tinuke, himself, knew this. Perhaps he didn't care, or even he lacked the respect he should've had for himself. There was one thing he was good at, the very thing in which he was trained to do... to kill. -To lead. -Even evade. -And he demonstrated it full well what his prowesses were, with every leap, with every lunge, with every snarl and snap, with every mouthful of fur and flesh he took ahold, tearing away like a mad animal until the Malmut cowered back into a tree, like a pup in a corner, tail between his legs. And that's when he whirled to the left, only to have a body smash into his own, feeling the weight on his ribs as he crashed to the grass with a blur of motion that dazed his vision, the doberman taking ahold of the back of his neck and enclosing his fangs with a grip that drew blood.
"Henh..." The mastiff growled as he glared deeply into Ripper's eyes, his brown eyes billowing with anger as his muscles moved along spasmatically, leaping coyously to the right and striking the rotweiler in the shoulder. "Looks like your little friend's in trouble..." he laughed as he glanced at the struggling Tinuke, who looked up from the grass with eyes of terror, only to be sunken down by the weight of the other dogs.

Ripper let out a furious snarl. More than anything, he wanted to wipe the grin off of the mastiff's face, but he couldn't leave Tinuke in the state he was in. He had respect for the older dog, and they were a pack now. Ripper lunged at the doberman, knocking him off of Tinuke, hoping it would give the warrior time to get to his feet. The rotweiler quickly rolled to his feet and evaded an attack, and then sunk his jaws into the doberman's shoulder.

The minute the weight was off him, Tinuke leaped clear, sprinting with open fangs as he released a blood curdling snarl that tore from him in the manner of a beast, he leaped off his hind legs, enclosing his jaws around the Malmute's throat, and twisting, throwing the dog off his feet and on his back. Helpless, Tinuke tore at him like a savage demon, a flurry of claws and yelps, the husky glaring deeply into the liquid eyes of his victim, which were squinted, weilding tears of terror and life as he struggled to get the overpowering husky off of him. He slipped, and in his error, Tinuke's fangs burried themselves deeper, driving them through the inerds of the throat until blood began to foam out of the malmut's mouth, uttering a resounding death cry, blood spurting from the wounds in his neck as Tinuke lifted his head, maw caked in the blood of his victim as he lay there, twitching as he continued to bleed, fur -ragged and torn. Tinuke turned, just in time to leap clear of the mastiff that was rampaging in his direction, the very dog that made Tinuke, himself, look like nothing more than a puny little pup. Maybe his hormones got the best of him, as courage was only fear lasting a moment longer. Maybe it was the combat high he was undergoing, the shere excitement of battle. -Or maybe it was his state of being, unconsciously aware of the fact that he was trying to prove his usefulness to the pack. And in turn, as the mastiff barreled past him, Tinuke leaped out with a black and white blur, striking the dog off balance, Tinuke recoiling against his muscles as the pain surged through his shoulder, giving him the impression of a brick wall as his for-leg grew paralyzed, watching the dog roll in the grass as cars passed without a care in the world, as if they were used to seeing dogs fight on an everyday basis. Tinuke, though he was barely up to the large dog's shoulder, let loose a venomous snarl that would easily drain the courage out of any man, or any dog for that matter. The opponent gazing up in confusion as to what hit him, glancing at Tinuke as though it were a joke. -Some joke that was, -as Tinuke enclosed his fangs around the dogs skull, and with a sharp twist to the right, enduring the pain of his savage claws as he attempted to throw the husky off of him; a sickening snap of bone and fractures ensured the death of the mastiff there, his body falling limp. With that, his duty was done, releasing his jaws -the dog's head landing with a thud on the earth as he glanced at the rotweiler with eye's intent.
The doberman took a step back, eyes landing on his dead fellows, he was alone. His one friend twitching, while the mastiff, who was easily the most powerful -fell victim to his clumsiness. He glanced at the rotweiler, and then at the husky, who's maw was caked in the blood of his friends. Had his friends still been alive, things would've turned out differently, and so, he took a step back in retreat, ears pinned to the back of his skull in submission as he lowered his head before the might of the four dogs before him. "Your points more than clear... just go." he panted his exess heat built up from the fighting, Tinuke glancing at Ripper, waiting to see what would happen next, determining if he should jump in and finish off the coward, or just let him flee.

Ripper glanced at Tinuke. "I see you didn't leave any for me." he barked with a smirk, though his words were spoken very seriously. He was going to add that he could have handled the Mastiff, but there was no point. Tinuke probably knew that anyways. The path was clear, now. "Looks like Master Fireborn could have chosen a better leader." he muttered to himself, thinking of how the dying warrior had left him somewhat in charge. It would be an honor to have a dog like Tinuke permanently in his pack, though it seemed clear to Ripper that the husky was meant to lead, not to follow. He just needed to find and regain faith in himself once more.
