Blackheart let her tail run under her leaders chin and turned her back and padded out of the camp with out another word.
She padded in her territory still getting use to it but then again at the same time she still felt unsafe. She made sure she was in sigh of her leader just incase but she didnt want to let fear stop her. She saw two birds fly over head and she couldnt help but smile. She then stopped at the border of the forest and saw the big lake that rested on their home. Her eyes shone and she trotted down their yet very carefully. She stepped out of bushes and felt the ground grow softer under her paws.
She perked her ears and everything seemed fine and quiet. All you could see was a blakc figure standing in the middle of the sand. She was about to turn around to call to her leader when suddenly she heard a dog barking. She flattned her ears and saw it coming at her. Her fur stood up on all ends and she raced back to the forest and to her leader. Her heart pounded and she came up beside Eclipsedstar and panted. Surely enough the dog didnt follow her and went back to its owners. Her claws dug into the ground and she shook a bit next to her leader.

Eclipsedstar's fur stood on end as he heard the dog and saw Blackheart race towards him. "Are you hurt?" he meowed, his voice edged with fear. He sighed, feeling terrible that a dog had to come by on their walk, especially after everything Blackheart had been through. He gave her a reassuring lick on the head and wrapped his fluffy tail around her. "Would you rather walk somewhere else?" he asked, hoping she would still want to spend time with him.

Blackheart shill shaking felt her leader lick her on the head and placed his tail around her. She then gave a shake and sat up next to her leader. "Yes please.." she mewed looking out into the beach where she was suppose to have a nice walk. She then looked up at her leader and mewed, "You can lead if you want.."

Eclipsedstar nodded, racking his brain trying to think of a place that would be peaceful and safe. He smiled and twined his tail with hers. "Come on, I can think of a good place we can go. Follow me." he meowed. He led Blackheart to an open area of the pine forest, where a small stream cut through the Shadowclan territory. He glanced up, noticing the sun shining weakly through the clouds. The last of the warmer days were here. It was going to be leafbare soon. Eclipsedstar could feel his stomach knot at the thought of dealing with Lostclan and struggling with all of the normal problems that come with leaf bare, especially trying to keep the clan fed. He let out a sigh and turned to Heartbreaker, forgetting his worries. "Will this do?" he asked.

Blackheart felt his tail connect with hers and she looked up and follwed. She stayed close to her leader, let alone mate and looked up at the sky. It wasnt going to be like this forever. Eclipsedstar was have to worry about the clan and food and protecting his family from lostclan. She gave a shiver when she thought about lostclan.
She smiled seeing a little stream and a nice peaceful place in the middle of the woods. She gave a purr and looked to her leader and mewed, "Its wonderful Eclipsedstar." She then stepped forward and gave him a clam lick on his cheek and padded over toward the stream. She looked down and saw her reflection and gave a sigh. "Eclipsestar.."

Eclipsedstar padded over to Blackheart, his eyes clouded with worry. "If you want to talk about anything, Blackheart....anything at all....you can come to me, always. I'll always make time for you." he promised, searching her eyes for what she was feeling.

Blackheart gave a soft smile and also a laugh, "Its gonna sound crazy..now dont freak..." She didnt take her eyes off of the water or her reflection but saw Eclipsedstar reflections also in the water. She looked over to his reflection and then up at him and looked into his eyes. She gave a blink and whispered, "I..want to start a family Eclipsedstar..with you..."
She felt her cheeks grow warm with the embarassment of what she just said and wished she knew why she just said that. She loved her leader very much and never wanted to leave him..
She then looked down at her paws and mewed, "I'm sorry I didnt know...what happened their, I know now isnt the best time or if you really want to start a family or...even with me..."

Eclipsedstar's eyes widened in shock, and he felt a surge of heat charge through his body. He pressed his cheek against hers and purred loudly. "Blackheart..." he sighed. "I never knew you felt this way...I'd always hoped you'd feel the same way about me as I do about you...but I wasn't sure if you'd want me after I became leader of Shadowclan..."
He knew that Blackheart seemed to get frustrated at times when he had to put the responsibilities of the clan before being with her. "I promise I will love you as much as any other cat could...but...I also have more responsibilities than anymore cat in the clan, and that won't change...." Eclipsedstar looked downed at his paws as he felt a surge of insecurity. "Knowing that, do you still want to be my mate?" he asked, looking up at her again with hope and love in his eyes.

She closed her eyes as she felt his cheek against her and heard him purr. She looked into his eyes as she spoke and felt her heart sink to her stomach. She looked away from her leader after he talked about duties to the clan and how he was always going to have them.
She gave a nod to him when he finished and knew it was a stupid idea. Was she really ready to take that step though? Maybe not. She bit her lip and gave out a sigh. Tears then came to her eyes and knew it was best if she didnt take that step. With lostclan out and about to maybe still get her that would just get more danger to her and the clan and even...her kits.
She closed her eyes and tried hard to not let them fall.
She just had to face it, he was just too busy for her... yet she couldnt let him go, and eclipsedstar would probably not even let her leave even if she tried. He loved her and looked out for her like any mate would and she loved that. His duties were going to put some distance between them but she knew if she were to continue like this with her leader she had to accept it.
Even if she did want to go or leave she wouldnt make it very far. She was still scared to go out alone and couldnt sleep at night. She needed her leader beside her but then how could he if he was so busy now...

"Blackheart?" Eclipsedstar mewed, his eyes showing concern and hurt when she didn't reply to him. He felt his chest tighten as she closed her eyes and turned her face from him. He didn't understand what he had said wrong-- he thought she would be happy that he wanted to be her mate despite having to be clan leader as well. He hung his head and stared at his large paws, afraid of what Blackheart was going to say.

Blackheart looked at her leader and saw him hang his head and she gave out a sigh and got up and padded to him and rubbed her cheek against his. She gave a small smile and mewed, "You know I love you... I always will. I'm very glad I get to be your mate nad I understand times are tough right now.. Your a wonderful leader Eclipsedstar. No matter what happends I'll always be here.."

Eclipsedstar's throat rumbled from a deep purr. He pressed the side of his body against hers, treasuring every moment they had alone together. "You've been through a lot lately, Blackheart...if you want to wait to have kits...I understand." he meowed. He still couldn't admit to her how concerned he was about her ever since she had come home. Trueeyes had stressed to give her independence and trust that she could take care of herself...but Eclipsedstar still didn't know much of the details about her capture with Lostclan and was afraid to ask her and cause her more pain.
He pushed aside the surge of anger that pulsed through his body at the thought of Lostclan and the pain they had caused Blackheart, himself, and his entire clan. He blinked to clear his thoughts, wanting to be attentive to all the good things that Blackheart made him feel. He wanted to remember the way every little hair laid on her beautiful pelt and the beautiful scent she carried.
"I love you too." he murmured.

She gave a slow shake of her head and took in his sweet sent and exhaled slowly. "We do not need to have kits now dear, your under a lot of stress already." She closed her eyes then shot them back opened and took a step back. For the first second she saw jags face. She gave her head a shake and found she was breathing quiet fast. She then sat down and tried not to look at her leader but tried to calm down as well. She cleared her voice and mewed, "Anything you want to talk about dear?..Eclipsedstar?"

Eclipsedstar felt a lump in his throat as Blackheart asked him if he wanted to talk. This was a chance to ask her what had really happened in Lostclan...but could she even bear to talk about it? Would it make her more distant from him.
Eclipsedstar sighed. "Lostclan are causing so much pain to all the clans in the forest. I just wish there was something I could do....something I could have done to prevent them from killing my mother and sister, and from taking you away from us." he meowed. His eyes showing all of his exhaustion and sadness. "I want to be strong for everyone, but it's so difficult sometimes. I know Shadowclan isn't the only clan struggling, but I feel like everyone is counting on me and that our fate is riding on how well I lead the clan...." he trailed off and glanced at Blackheart. "I was so scared and lonely when you were gone that I didn't think I could survive it!" he blurted out. "Having you here gives me so much more courage and hope...I just want to make sure you're safe." he said softly, pushing his face into her fur.

Blackheart listened carefully to her leader as he spoke and respectfully listened to what he had to say. She gave a nod here and their but looked him in the eyes and didnt make any moves. She then saw him burry his face into her fur and she gave a purr and rubbed her cheek on her leaders head. She gave a gentle and light purr and started, "If I could of escaped lostclan earlier I really would. They had guards follow me everywhere I went Eclipsedstar." She looked up and into the forest and started, "He wanted to have kits with me.. but I refused. Every time I did his guards would hit me and leaves scratches on my body. Then jag would come back and...yell at me a few times.." Tears came to her eyes but she kept going.. "I was finally able to leave with a few other cats who were focused on leaving. I'm sure jag wasnt so please after he found out I left. I ran far away as i could. I couldnt stop. All I thought about was you... everytime i looked up at the sky I wondered if you were looking at the same sky I was..I just wanted to go to my real home... with you and trueeyes and everyone else. I came across a dark path where the ground was hard and big things were on the sides full of gross smells and prey from two legs were all over the place.. a few toms played around with me and wouldnt let me go.. till another she cat who knew these toms helped me out.. she directed meto the path of the forest and from then on it was a long journey. I'm shocked im alive. But I always thought lostclan was following me the whole way I tried to find you and home. The cliffs were hard trying to get up all on my own. Slipped, fell, twisted paws, stepped on sharp rocks..wasnt easy darling. I then came across a sent that seemed familer to me but I didnt want ot get my hopes up.. till I followed it and I saw....you. Giving a apprentice cerimonie. My heart sank Eclipsedstar. You seemed to be doing fine with out me so I just decided to run..where to? Wherever my paws led me. till I got caught in a thorn bush and a beautiful hungry fox came along.. then...you came.." She then glanced down at her leader and mewed, "You came just in time...saved my life..."
