Blackheart gave a smile at her leader and sat in his warm den and mewed, "Well believe it or not Eclipsedstar I am and here to stay." She then gave a huge yawn and mewed, "I'm sorry Eclipsedstar but as much as I wanna stay up with you and chat I need rest". Before she knew it her legs were on the ground and her eyes were growing heavy. She finally stopped shaking from the cold weather and all she heard as her leaders soft breathing and her own.

Eclipsedstar smiled and curled around Blackheart. He gingerly groomed her fur while she slept until it was nearly perfect, and then drifted off to sleep beside her.

Blackheart gave one last purr and felt her leaders tounge against her back. In no time, she was out cold.

Eclipsedstar stirred in his sleep, his dreams disturbed. He was standing in the middle of camp, and an overwhelming sense of pride filled him as he heard mewlings from the nursery. He bounded over happily, anticipation overwhelming him. He looked inside the den to see Blackheart smiling at him, and three newly born kits at her stomach. Suddenly, the kits grew before his eyes, and they turned towards him, their gazes hostile. "What's going on? Blackheart?" he cried out, but the kits grew larger and larger, barring his path between him and his mate. He found himself suddenly surrounded by Lostclan warriors, and the lifeless body of his mother, sister, and father lay at his feet. He let out a scream of agony and fury and leapt into battle, knowing that he wouldn't come out alive....
Eclipsedstar awoke with a gasp. His breaths were rapid along with his heartbeat, and he was covered in sweat.

Blackheart opened her eyes hearing her leader stirring. She looked over seeing he was having ab ad dream and spoke, "Eclipsedstar?.Eclipsedstar!" Her eyes were wide seeing him act like this. When he finally woke she dropped to her stomach and made sure he knew he was feeling her. She spoke softly in his ear, "Sh..I'm here honey..Im here Eclipsedstar your with me..shhh its okay its only a dream." She then lied down beside him pressing close to him telling him he was awake and okay and she as with him. She then rested her head on his back and just listend to his deep breaths. She then turned to him and mewed, "Easy Eclipsedstar..easy..breath gently..everything is okay.." All she was focused on now was him and making him better.

Eclipsedstar shuddered and dug his claws into the earth in his den. He slowly began to calm down with Blackheart beside them. "My mother and sister were killed by Lostclan two days ago. I still can't believe they're gone. My sister was meant for great things...there was so much I wanted to tell her....I just wanted to get to know her. Now, I never will." he confessed, his eyes still slightly wide with fear at the images in his dream.

Blackheart looked at her leader and mewed, "Starclan calls cats for reasons Eclipsedstar. You couldnt help your mothers and sisters death. Just know they are happy. One door opens to another door closes. Both are in Starclan now..of course you can talk to either of them! Your leader! you share dreams with Starclan! They will always be with you Eclipsedsar no matter what. They wants you to be happy just as much as she is. Your mother and sister arent feeling the pain anymore Eclipsedstar. They're happy. I know you had a lot to tell the both of them. We just need to let time do its thing. Let things happen for a reason. They will al ways be watching over you and listening to you, even if you cant see them. They're their. I know they are."

Eclipsedstar sighed. "It's just....I would feel more comforted by your words if Lostclan weren't in the forest. They didn't die naturally...or even by some rare border skirmish. They were murdered by cats with the sole intent of killing....but maybe you're right....they're probably happier not living in this uncertain world filled with fear. My mother survived the first war with Lostclan. She shouldn't have had to see another one." he meowed sadly.

What you want me to try harder to keep you happy?! I just got back from a long jorney and your still downing on this? What more do you want from me?!! she yelled in her head. With no expresion on her face and looked at her leader and mewed, "Exactly Eclipsedstar. Thats Exactly right." Feel more comforted by my words eh? Well how would you feel if i just stopped talking? she thought. "Lostclan is here Eclipsedstar. They will kill any cat they can we both know that in the forest. Just fight hard and hope you live. Things are different now. New home new faces...you name it." She was lost for words for now. She shook her head and turned to padd out of the den.

"Blackheart!" he meowed, noticing that she seemed upset by his words. "I'm sorry...you just came home...I'm sure you've had a very trying journey. I just wish we both had proper time to grieve. With things the way they are, I just feel like we can't give proper honor to the cats that deserve it." he explained, padding over to her. He embraced her and held her close. "The fact that you are beside me once more fills me with so much strenth and hope." he sighed softly.
Trueeyes saw Eclipsedstar and Blackheart emerging at the entrance to his leader's den. He flicked his tail restlessly, hoping that Eclipsedstar would have some news from Blackheart, or some orders. He hated just waiting for something to happen, and found himself getting more and more nervous with nothing to do.

Blackheart embrasced him back and nuzzled him with her muzzle. She then caught treueyes outside the den and mewed, "Your warrior calls for you.." she then looked back out seeing him look a bit nervus. She gave him a odd look then abck at her leader and shifted her green eyes to the warrior then back to him. She gave a little smile but she was still a bit uneasy about what he said to her a moment ago.
"What is it Trueeyes?" she mewed still looking at her leader. She then placed her head under his chin and walked a few steps to his side and and looked back at his eyes. Trying to tell him how much she is here for him now. Telling him she was real and she was finally here. She then passed her tail under his chin. Still not taking her eyes off of him. Protect me Eclipsedstar..love and protect me..thats all im calling for..stay by me love. You dont knowwhat happened on that journey....
(getting a bit flirty here! Oh blackheart lol)

"Patience, Trueeyes. I'm sure they have much to say," Timbermoon winked at his fellow warrior. He too, was anxious, but he was better at suppressing excitement. Greypaw moved to sit in between Timbermoon's paws. He looked down at her and shook his head.
"Now now, Greypaw. You're an apprentice now, you aren't a kit anymore. Apprentices don't shelter beneath warriors. They never overreach their elder's that way," he said. She looked slightly hurt by this, but understood the metaphor in his words, if only halfway.

Blackheart then looked up and ewed, "Hello Timbermoon, you look well!" She then cought sight of greypaw and mewed, "Who mentors this little one?"

"It is wonderful to see you again, Blackheart," Timbermoon dipped his head to her. When he asked who mentored Greypaw, he straightened and he pointed with his tail to Trueeyes.
"Trueeyes is her mentor. She was just apprenticed. I mentor Blazepaw" he replied. Although Blazepaw was furthest from his first apprentice all those moons ago, he always felt proud each time he was chosen to pass his knowledge and wisdom to another cat. Even though he knew all those successes could never truly make up for the death of Snakepaw, which still haunted his pawsteps, even now.

Blackheart purred the loudest she could and her eyes sparkled a bit and mewed, "Congrates! I'm very happy for you both!" She then looked down at greypaw and mewed, "Listen to your mentor well little lone..do as he says not as he does.." She then gave a smile and mewed, "Thats wonderful for for..I'm sure you will have your paws full!"
