Rockfang stopped; they had reached the border between RiverClan and ShadowClan. He remembered this place clearly. A fierce battle had taken place on this stretch of land- a battle he had helped start. His ears burned with shame as he thought back to the days where he had been a naive kit, helping Drowningspirit spark a bloody duel between two Clans. So much blood had been split here- it was a wonder no one had died that day. He wondered if anyone might have, if Willowleaf and Emeraldeye hadn't broken up the fight.
"Well. ShadowClan territory is just ahead. We'll probably need to be cautious. Who knows what kind of mood the ShadowClanners are going to be in, given everything that's happened," he meowed softly.

(Shoot! I totally missed this...I'm so sorry! I was waiting forever for you to reply to the other post lol)
Phoenixpaw wrinkled her nose. She was very nervous all of a sudden. It was one thing to go to a clan when battle help was needed, it was quite another to go and hope the clan didn't claw your ears off for not believing a Starclan prophecy. Phoenixpaw then thought of Sparrowpaw and her brother's missing eye, and knew that their mission was even more urgent than a clan battle. She puffed up her chest a little bit. "Ok. Let's go." she mewed.

"Don't worry. Eclipsedstar is very fair. And besides, I'll protect you," Rockfang meowed, then blinked, realizing what he had just said. He shook it off, reminding himself that he had promised Inkpaw he would keep his sister safe. Still, he couldn't help but wonder if that was all it.
Why should a WindClan apprentice feel safe with a warrior from another Clan?
Taking a breath, he stepped cautiously over the border, senses alert for a ShadowClan patrol. He only hoped that they would be able to meet with even one of the Eight that resided here in ShadowClan.

Phoenixpaw flicked her ears and relaxed. She felt much better about traveling with a warrior, even if he was from another clan. She felt her paws tingle. What would it be like for her to not have clan boundaries? It felt like she was living her parent's dream. She eagerly padded beside Rockfang, accidentally brushing up against him. She flattened her ears in embarrassment. "Sorry!" she mewed hastily.
