Well, I'm taking advantage of this. lol
Hey all, Scott here, I thought I would give an example as to what this section is for, so here I go.
I opened this site to give those who loved WTJC another chance, I'm not claiming anything on here as my own, but this is my love, roleplaying.
I was first introduced into roleplaying when I was 17, in AAIT (Army Advanced Individual Training) two weeks after Basic Combat Training when I was 17. -Of course, it wasn't the kind of roleplaying you do today. lol -It was military roleplay, only, you actually did everything.
I've always loved to write, I've had a passion with it since I was young, when I first immigrated to the US from Portsmouth, England, in 1999 -and the US teachers noticed my talent, it only inspired me to do better. And so, I did. I have a history of roleplaying since I was 17, and havn't stopped.
Transitioning from the British life style to the American Life style wasn't easy, let me tell you that. We British folks have a way of either being just plain dumb, or just plain blunt. I drink tea everyday, exercise, walk my dog, ect. I pretty much live out my life like a normal civilian,
After AAIT, I did a short temporary three month tour in Iraq, and returned early 2004, where I joined a site called Shadow of Wolves on a server called Neopets, where I met Seraphinu, Tempest, Pallu, Firemoon, Myst, Elli, and a few others. When Myst left, she left me in charge of the site, but neopets was going through some drastic changes, and therefore caused me to open up a new site called Drifting Wolf.
There, we roleplayed for about three years while I was attending college, in which I graduated in the top 20, recieved a 4 year degree in two years, (I didn't take summer off) -despite the fact that no one was coming on the site anymore. Of course, on January 2008, I recieved orders to go back to Iraq and continue post duty. So yeah, life's stressful, and I just take it out on my characters. Seraphi referred me to WTJC in... I think it was late May, -where I met all of you. And then, I found out that my best friend, Davis Cortiz, from Texas joined the US Marine Corps... which blew me away, because I never thought he would make it in, considering he was a football player jock, and an active drug user... eh, guess the marines straightened him out!
With only three days left until I leave for deployment, I can tell you, it's quite nerve-racking. I mean, going back, hopefully seeing some old friends, making new ones. So, yeah, I'll admit, scared shitless.
Wish me luck!
Scott
