Forming the Patrols

Brackensmoke had just finished eating a mouse, and was standing in the middle of the clearing.
"Alright," he mused. "Who's going to do what?"
Brackensmoke knew that an evening patrol needed to go out, so he called,
"Magicheart!" He called to the she-cat. "You'll be leading the evening patrol with Firetail, Crimsonheart, and Halfmoon!"

OOC: Anybody, please point out if I'm calling the wrong cats!

IC: "And..." Brackensmoke glanced at the fresh-kill pile. "I'll lead a small hunting patrol. Inkpaw?"

OOC: Who's Inkpaw's mentor?

Magicheart limped into camp. She perked her ears at the sound of Brackensmoke's voice. "I'll have to let Starpaw bandage my foot first" she mewed, lifting up one of her white paws that was stained crimson with dried blood. "I tore a couple claws on that mangy fox!" She smiled weakly and called out to Starpaw.

Crimsonheart bounded over to Brackensmoke, ever the boisterous one. "I don't know if Magicheart should go..." she said awkwardly, wondering if she SHOULD be the one to comment on this. Magicheart was a senior warrior, after all. "She tore her claw and she DOES need rest...but she IS a warrior so...I dunno..." she averted her amber gaze to the ground.

Brackensmoke's ears pricked. "Oh, sorry," he said. "I didn't see that earlier..." His tail flicked in dismay at his mistake, then he turned to Crimsonheart.
"In that case, you may lead the patrol."

OOC: Hey, if my charrie makes a mistake like that (I haven't been here long) can I be told in ooc form please? Not all the time, but I don't want to be stupid, if you get my meaning.

OOC: didn't mean to make yu look stupid, it's usually natural for deputies to make mistakes XD sorry about that, I'll do that next time. I just thought Crimsonheart would get a chance to shine.

IC:
Crimsonheart looked slightly relieved that Brackensmoke hadn't snapped at her to get out of his way. "Alright, who'll be with me?" she offered, brightening at the opportunity to lead a patrol for once. She was ready to patrol again

Brackensmoke chuckled softly. "Firetail and Halfmoon!"

Crimsonheart nodded quickly. "Right, yeah..." she said, slightly flustered at forgetting. "Alright...so...I'll just wait for them then..." she shifted awkwardly on one foot to the other, wondering where they would start off. A standard border patrol? From which side? WindClan? Or ShadowClan? maybe shadowclan, to make sure the fox didn't have anymore relatives...

Brackensmoke noticed Crimsonheart's confused look.
"You'll go on the Shadowclan border as a start. You've been on a patrol, yeah?" He had a mild joking look on his face.

Crimsonheart shook her head. "Of course I have," she nodded. "Ok...we'll go then..." she edged over to the edge of camp and waited for Halfmoon and Firetail to follow.

((Idk, should I make a new thread again in the Ancient oak? I'm not sure if anything's gonna happen so I dont wanna waste thread room)

Firetail loped across the camp center to stand beside Crimsonheart. "I'm ready." he meowed. He was eager to go out and come back to be beside Honeysquirrel again, but after being cramped up in the nursery with her, a patrol would be nice to stretch his legs. He swished his bright orange tail along the ground as he waited.

(Who plays Halfmoon again? Is it Seraphi? or you? And alright I guess...)

Crimsonheart began to lead the patrol into the forest but waited a little bit off for Halfmoon to join them.

(I'll go make a thread int he ShadowClan border area then.)

Brackensmoke nodded, satisfied with this patrol. He yawned a little, surprising himself. Was he really that tired?
