~Name~ Spiritkit Spiritpaw Spiritsong {Spiritstar}
She is the Thunderclan leader of 44 moons.
~Personality~ I.Am.Stubborn Get over it. I just don't sway easily when it comes to some things. Don't get me wrong, I'm not over confident and I can accept that I'm not always right, but you will have to be very persuasive or have good proof. I.Am.Tough Lets face it, when your heritage is questionable, most cats target you for jests, cruel jokes, and the duties no one else wants. I took it all in stride though, and now am respected and for the most part I have made friends with my clanmates. I.Am.Brave I don't shrink away from a fight simply because I'm facing someone bigger or more experienced. Let the battles come - physical, mental, or emotional. Our former leader appreciated this quality in me, and when she choose me as deputy I knew I had earned it. I.Am.Loving Let me put it this way, say or do one wrong thing to any of my friends or my clan, you are going to be running away without half your pelt. I am fiercely protective too, but it is out of duty. I'm not exactly the motherly type. I.Am.Loyal Get this straight - I am a Thunderclanner. I don't care who I was born to I'm entirely 100% Thunderclan. After all, my real family tried to kill me right? So here is my home, here is where my loyalties lie. Don't ever doubt that, or we may have to fight over it.
~Description~ She is white, which makes hunting bothersome sometimes, but she's great in the winter. She has dark brown stripes on her face that fade out as they reach her back. She has spots running down her pelt, but they are hardly visible. Then the color darkens again as it reaches her ringed tail and the dark brown hardens into a black gradually until it reaches her jet-black tip. Her nose is a soft pick, but a black border around it makes it look darker. Her paw pads are the same. Her eyes are a stunning icy blue, that cut through the shadows of the forest. She has long white whiskers extending from her face, but they pretty much blend in with the rest of her. All in all, she's a gorgeous feline, but she doesn't care a lick about beauty, even if she grooms a lot in order to look respectable.
~History~ Spiritstar was not born in Thunderclan. Actually, she was born in Shadowclan to two Shadowclan warriors. She never knew that until she was nearly six moons though. Her father, thinking her pathetic and weak because of her size, was abandoning her on the Thunderpath when a Thunderclan warrior intervened. Why they fought over the matter is a mystery, but the Thunderclanner, Beardance, won. He got Spiritkit, as he named her, into Thunderclan territory and bathed her to hide the scent. His sister at the time was nursing her third litter and he took Spiritkit to Badgersong, hoping for her to show mercy. Badgersong was willing and Spiritkit grew up with Oakkit and Robinkit, Badgersong's kits, knowing she wasn't really Badgersong's daughter but not knowing who she really was. She fought with Robinkit and Oakkit all the time, and started hanging out around the elders and Beardance more than anything. When she was forced to be in their company, she spent it bathing. She felt it made her seem very grown up. Gingerstar worried about the young kit, but Beardance believed in her so much that she consented to Beardance taking her on as an apprentice. What Spiritpaw didn't know what that Beardance had already trained another apprentice, Shimmerpaw, who was Badgersong's other daughter. Shimmerpaw had died and Beardance forever had that guilt. Shimmerpaw's sister, Mysticpool was kind to Spiritkit and tried to stop Beardance from blaming himself. Smallpaw, who was Badgersong's son, was like the other apprentices though - cruel. So early on, Spiritpaw knew she didn't want to spend much time with them. Her first night in the apprentice den she left and went to stand guard with Beardance instead. Throughout her training she had difficulty making friends, but shortly after becoming a warrior all that changed. Shadowclan raided Thunderclan's camp one evening and among them was Spiritsong's birth mother and father. Her father was now deputy and had his eyes set on making his son, Ghostclaw, leader. Spiritsong was recognized and her mother wouldn't fight her. Spiritsong on the other hand would fight. She not only gave her mother several good scratches, but left Ghostclaw with a scar over his eye, blinding him on that side. Darktiger, her father, was furious and attacked her to kill, but Beardance and Badgersong defended her. After that, her loyalties were nolonger in question. Gingerstar recognized that Spiritsong was determined to prove herself, and she gave her an apprentice after she had healed enough. Sunpaw was an incredibly quick learner, and Spiritsong did a superb job in he training. With Sunstreak's warriors ceremony came Spiritsong's final proof that she was loyal to her clan. But when Ghostclaw showed up one night begging for help, those loyalties were suddenly challenged. Gingerstar was sending Spiritsong along with the other warriors to aide the Shadowclan leader. Darktiger had been unable to instill the same amount of ambition in Ghostclaw, so now he had rogues attack to try to kill off their leader, leaving him to assume power. Spiritsong wanted nothing more than to stay home in Thunderclan, but Ghostclaw insisted that she be included in the raid. As they headed for Shadowclan, he explained why. Darktiger had managed to convince some in the clan that Spiritsong had started a blood feud with Shadowclan, and they needed to hear that wasn't true. If Darktiger was caught lying, then the clan would loose faith in him. They attacked, and Spiritsong instantly sought out Darktiger, who was aiming for a death blow on the injured leader. Spiritsong attacked him with all the pent up anger and hatred she had kept locked away after seasons of abuse and taunts from Thunderclan. She ended up injuring him very badly, though it was unintentional. Then the medicine cat managed to call a clan meeting in order for her to announce the truth to Shadowclan. Regardless of invites to stay, she left Shadowclan, eager to be home. A few seasons later, Cloudwhisper retired to the elders den and Badgersong and Beardance went as well. Though several other warriors were eligible, Gingerstar's top choices didn't want the positions. One wanted to be a mother to her kits and not have to give them up, and another was too unconfident in his abilities. So Spiritsong was offered a chance. She took it and was welcomed by most of the clan, with a few exceptions. At the next gathering, she learned the Shadowclan leader had indeed died, but neither Ghostclaw nor Darktiger (who was retired to the elders den because of how severe his injuries were) were his replacement. Spiritsong was glad, and welcomed Eclipsedstar respectfully. Sadly, all cats die, and Gingerstar had already been on her last life when badgers attacked one of her patrols. She gave her life to defend her clan mates and Spiritsong was thrown into the highest rank of the clan. To her surprise though, almost every cat appeared to watch her leave to get her nine lives, and they were supportive. Beardance especially, who was incredibly proud, watched her with a smile and tearful eyes. She had been leader for only three moons, but has finally found acceptance and her place. All because one cat decided to save her life.
~RP Example:~
Please...
Spiritsong stared at the stars, waiting to see if they gave any sign of life. She wanted some clue. What to do about the threat of trouble that was looming in her instincts.
Do not remain silent, Not when we need you so bad...
Her claws dug into the earth, the sudden urge to fight building within her. She just needed to know her enemy, and her claws would seek it out until she was certain her clan was safe.
I care not about me, but this is the only live I've had
She felt so useless knowing there were cats relying on her and she couldn't figure out what to do to protect them. She knew the threat was real, but what could she do?
This is my kin, I'd give them all Don't doubt my dedication
Sootbird was relying on her, since he was retired and now doing the clan the greatest honor by allowing them to care for him as he had bravely cared for them.
My heritage means nothing Only judge my journey to my current location.
Starpaw, Inkpaw, Darkpaw, and Spottedpaw were relying on her, as the apprentices they looked up to the leader for a guide and model of what a true warrior should be like. She would not fail to show them how Thunderclan meets it's enemies - courageous and prepared.
There was a time I was weak We've all walked through that time.
Her warriors: Magicheart, Firetail, Halfmoon, Crimsonheart, Dapplepelt, Icecrystal, Littleflower, Lionfire, Whitefire, Moonripple, and Clovercloud depended on her leadership. They were tremendous warriors, each and every one, but their skills were just as useless as hers if she could not show them the battleground.
But the view from the summit, Is worth every struggle in the climb.
Her faithful deputy, Brackensmoke, and caring healer, Skymist, they were her allies. They wanted to defend and help their clan every bit as much as she did, but yet she could not help them do their jobs. She felt useless.
What they don't tell you about peaks Is that their cold and lonely places to be.
"Please" Spiritsong whispered to the stars. "Won't you help me?" She asked. She wanted anything. Even just reassurance that their ancestors were aware of the threat to come. It wasn't just Spiritsong's imagination. She knew that.
So I have only the moon above, And the stars in the black sky for company.
