"I doubt that's true," Inkpaw turned his eye back onto Dreampaw- his gaze was calm and serious. "They've either already done something that you haven't noticed, or they are planning as we speak," he added, but fell silent again when Moonripple shot him a glare.
Sunstar took a breath, realizing Spiritstar was allowing her to go next. Dipping her head to the ThunderClan leader, she sat up straighter to address the Clans of the forest for the first time.
"Be grateful that LostClan has been silent in your territory, Wickedstar. For these murderous, craven thieves have struck a great blow against WindClan as well. I come before you now with the gravest of news... LostClan has taken the ninth life of Jaystar. He was a great leader, and I know StarClan has welcomed him among the ranks of our ancestors. I now come to you as Sunstar- the new leader of WindClan," she spoke, backing up to let the Clans know she was finished, waiting for their responses.

Pantherfang let out a yowl of approval for his leader. Eclipsedstar noticed that he gazed at her with a fire in his eyes that he hadn't seen since the death of his mother and sister. Was it affection? Eclipsedstar bristled. His mom and sister had hardly just died. Was he already interested in another cat? He suppressed a growl that came to his throat.
Silvervolt blinked in surprise. Jaystar had not been an older leader. How had he lost his nine lives so quickly? The warrior glanced at his leader, Wickedstar, and felt proud that Riverclan was so strong when the others were struggling- especially Windclan. Even if his love for Heartbreaker had softened him somewhat, it wouldn't smolder his hatred for the clan that killed his sibling over a border skirmish.
Magicheart joined in the call for Sunstar. The Thunderclan she-cat knew Sunstar was a good choice for leader. She was a judicious and loyal warrior, and had readily accepted her half-clan daughter without acting condescending toward her mate, Russettail.

Spiritstar greeted Sunstar respectfully, mourning the loss of Jaystar. Any cat's life was worth something, but the life of a great leader was a hard blow to Windclan, though Spiritstar knew that Windclan had a strong leader in Sunstar.
Stepping forward, fear pulsing in her paws, she tried to maintain a look of confidence. For a moment, she was silent, letting the crowd's calls die down. When it was almost completely silent, she began.
"Thunderclan does well, though it is still leaf-bare. Prey is scarce, but our warriors track it down anyway. Our apprentices continue their training to become true warriors. The clan does well.
"However, Thunderclan too, has been accosted by Lostclan. It is time the four clans showed this pack of vermin what we're made of - the strong and noble hearts of warriors that reach back generations.
"If one clan lets them attack unchallenged, then they will soon think they can attack any clan." She paused to gaze at Wickedstar. It wasn't a challenge, rather a warning. She didn't want to see any other clan suffer, not from Lostclan anyway. The clans might not be close friends, but a common enemy made them most dangerous allies. "They think they can get away with it, well it's time we showed them the true strength of our clans. Let no more cats join Starclan before their time, let us drive out this threat now. Let us unite and drive them out once and for all." The last line was spoken syllable by syllable, her voice deep and strong. She put great stress on the word us. She didn't need to lead this alliance and she would only look after the interests of her own clan. She knew one thing that could anger a leader was the thought of having another lead his or her clan. She looked to the other leaders, awaiting their ultimatums. She hoped that at least Eclipsedstar and Sunstar would be interested, even if details had to be sorted out later.

Wickedstar saw the glane the leader had given her and she narrowed her eyes at the other leader. If she wanted a warning glance thrown at Wickedstar herself then she might as well give one back. She felt the hairs on her neck stand straight up and she didnt take her eyes off the leader for the longest time. Yet stayed calm which was a first for her.
Blackheart rolled her eyes and couldnt take this anymore. No mousedung they are going to attack, you think they are just going to sit their and do nothing? she thought clawing at the ground.

Eclispedstar gazed at Spiritstar in surprise and then nodded. "It is not in the nature of Shadowclan to form alliances lightly." he meowed, "but I believe it is the will of Starclan that the clans unite to defeat this threat to defend our honor, our clanmates, and our warrior code. If you aim to attack Lostclan, the strength of Shadowclan shall be with you in this battle." Eclipsedstar nodded to the young leader and stepped back. He could feel power surging through his body. He felt like pelting through the forest and clawing their fur off in battle now].
Eclipsedstar began to dig his claws into the branch beneath him, trying to steady the intoxicating wave of anger, energy, and adrenaline that was threatening to overtake him. He glanced through the crowd and sought out the face of one cat- Blackheart, and began to feel more in control again. They will never harm you again. he promised himself. Even if it takes all my lives to protect you.
Trueeyes yowled approval. "The clans didn't unite the first time to fight of Lostclan, and that is why they are back again! Don't forget, Wickedstar- Lostclan killed one of Riverclan's leaders and helped set fire to your camp. The forest is better off without them!" he yowled, trying to rally support.
Silvervolt narrowed his eyes and glanced up at Wickedstar. Is she going to buy into this? Why should we risk the health of our warriors for their weaknesses? We have enough troubles as it is... he thought to himself. Riverclan was low on both warriors and kits at the moment, and the foxes had injured both himself and Heartbreaker. The tom jumped to his paws, tail lashing.
"Just because you can't protect your borders doesn't mean that Riverclan has to risk its warriors." he spat. " It's not surprise that Thunderclan can't do anything on its own. They'd involve the entire forest, rogues and all, in their affairs if they could." he sneered.

Wickedstar looked at Trueeyes as he talked and seeing he brought up the fire and killed one of the leaders she had to admit this warrior did have a point to his words. She watched him talk and then calmly took her eyes off of the warrior and looked at her clan deep in thought.
Her eyes then shot to her own warrior Silvervolt when he had jumped up and talked about Thunderclan. That got her head back into the game and she then shot her green eyes over to the Thunderclan leader and gave a wicked smile.Silvervolt was always the best to bring up a good point and then argue about it. She was glad she brought him along to the gathering.

Trueeyes sighed and rolled his eyes at the rowdy Riverclan tom. Of course she had to bring him. He thought grimly.
Magicheart leaped to her paws and let out a low growl. "We're also the first ones you come crawling to help to if you have problems with the water level in your camp, you mangy fish-eater!"
Silvervolt arched his back and let out a hiss.
"And I suppose you got those wounds from a border skirmish, huh?" Firetail challenged. "No one has attacked Riverclan. Maybe you're not being as honest about Lostclan as your leader claims!"
