Timbermoon was the first to break the intense silence that surrounded camp. "Our leader's word is the warrior code. If you wish it, I would follow you to the very ends of the Earth," he spoke faithfully.
Willowleaf's eyes glittered as she gazed at the older tabby tom. "Both of us have watched you grow from apprentice hood, Eclipsedstar. We will always support you," she spoke proudly. ShadowClan may have been the most ambitious of the Clans, but there was a strong bond of loyalty between each of them.

"Shadowclan will always stand beside you, Eclipsedstar." Trueeyes spoke, gesturing to the other cats around him. "Where you lead, we will follow. Not only are you our leader, but probably our strongest warrior as well." Trueeyes added.
Eclipsedstar lowered his head in humility. He was overwhelmed by his clan's unwavering support and faith in him. "I will do the best that I can!" he meowed confidently, quickly raising his head, the long fur around his face rippling. "Shadowclan will never fall without a fight!" He cried, jumping down from his post.
(Was there someone that needed to be apprenticed in here, or no?)

((Well, we already talked about Trueeyes mentoring Greykit. Why not have Eclipsedstar mentor Canyonkit?
Also, while I'm on the subject, who was the other ShadowClan cat that was part of the original Eight? Was it Trueeyes or Soulfang?))

Eclipsedstar stood before his clanmates tall and proud. "It hasn't escaped my attention that we have two kits that need mentors." he proclaimed with a smile. "Greykit and Canyonkit, please step foreward." he meowed.

Greykit's eyes widened. She hadn't expected this. one part of her was excited. But could she be a good warrior? Surely not as good as her brother... he was brave and strong... She stepped forwards.
Timbermoon looked at her encouragingly. He wondered who would mentor the two kits. He already had Blazepaw. He looked at Trueeyes. He would be a good mentor, especially for Greykit. He was patient with apprentices.

Canyonkit started with surprise at Eclipsedstars unexpected announcement, but relaxed when he saw Greykits eyes widen in surprise. He wasn't alone, so felt better. Turning his head to give her a soothing lick on her head, he stood and flicked his tale for her to follow. He knew he could be a good warrior, he was a strong and brave cat, even though just a kit...No! an Apprentice!
Trying to keep his excitement from showing, his tale betrayed his mood by flicking excitedly. Greykit Padded nervously next him to towards the high rock, looking from her paws to the leader and back again. He knew what she was thinking. Who would be their mentors?

"Greykit, please step forward." Eclipsedstar meowed.
"Trueeyes shall be your mentor. Trueeyes, may you pass on your unwavering determination and intuition onto this young apprentice. I please her confidently into your care."
Trueeeyes strode foreward proudly, but it was bittersweet. He had only just lost his previous apprentice. "I shall do all I can to train her in the ways of the code, and protect her with my life." he vowed, leaning over to touch noses with the young cat.
"Greykit, you shall now be known as Greypaw!" Eclipsedstar announced with a smile.
Eclipsedstar then turned to the other apprentice. "Canyonkit, please step foreward."
The Shadowclan leader then strode towards the young apprentice and stood before him. "Canyonkit, I shall be your mentor. I will try to teach you the strengths and values of Shadowclan, and to teach you that even in the darkest times, we can be a light to others." Eclipsedstar was full of emotion as he bowed his head to touch that of the young tom before him.

Greypaw felt a thrill run through her, and she barely managed to keep her tabby pelt from fluffing out in excitement. She gently touched noses with Trueeyes, her new mentor. She looked forward to learning from him, though she wasn't sure how much she would be able to accomplish.
Timbermoon looked proudly at the two new apprentices, the future of the Clan he had known and loved all his life. He started the call that was taken up quickly by his fellow Clanmates. "Greypaw! Canyonpaw!"
Willowleaf joined in merrily, despite her internal worries.

blackheart raced through the trees, bloody and cut. Soar also on top of that. It was a long journey for her, because she was seperated from her leader. She finnaly stopped to take a breath and sat down and thought, Would he kick me out? Would he even reconize me again? Did he find someone else to love? she thought. She then stared to get the feeling she didnt want to go back. She knew she had to. She then came across a puddle of water and looked in it. She didnt even reconize herslef at all. Would Eclipsedstar? How nice it would be to see him again! The thought of him was the reason she kept walking to find shadowclan terrtory.
She finally heard cats talk and the smell of shadowclan. She raced through the trees and peeked through the bushes and their he was! Eclipsedstar! He was in wonderful shape. His fur was smooth and his eyes looked clear and he..got an apprentice?! Blackheart was ready to fall over. Not again! He is now going to be busy as ever! It was clear to her..he didn't remember her at all. The clan was always first before her..Her stomach growled and she took a few steps back from the bush hoping no one heard. She flattened her ears and went quiet. Man am I starving! she thought. She still couldnt take her eys off of him.
She knew she had to go. She turned around and raced through the trees..almost ready to cross the shadowclan border to the loner territory when she went through a bush and got..stuck! "OW!" she looked back at her fur and saw it was tangled in twigs and thorns. "Wonderful!" she hissed. She tried to pull herself out but nothig was working. She then stood their like a dork trying to think of what to do.
suddenly, she heard a russtle in the bushes. She shot her head and gave a low growl and saw, it was a fox. It looked right at her. Blackheart didnt know if she should move or try and fight back. The fox looked hungry and blackheart looked tastey. It wouldnt be to soon before she was going to be food herself! "Starclan please! No!" she mewed to herself. Tears came to her eyes and she didnt know what to do. "Help.." she whispered.

Eclipsedstar's ears twitched, and he suddenly looked towards the direction of the camp exit. What was it? He couldn't hear or see anything, but it was as if something was pulling him. Oblivious to everything around him, he focused his ears more and more and took a step forward.
And then he saw it-- a transparent shimmer and a glow of golden eyes. "Shadowstar?" he wondered aloud.
Trueeyes jumped out of the way as Eclipsedstar nearly knocked him over. "Eclipsedstar! Hey, what's going on?" he meowed nervously. The Shadowclan leader seemed completely unaware of everything and everyone around him as he headed for the exit.
"Shadowstar?" Eclipsedstar called out again. Where had he gone? It was unlike the Starclanner to appear outside of his dreams, and even more unlikely to not directly tell him what he needed to. "This is crazy..." he muttered to himself as he got further and further away from camp. He cast a backwards glance over his shoulder. Was this some kind of trick? But soon, he was enveloped in that pull again, drawing him further and further, and falling into a type of trance, Eclipsedstar wandered closer and closer towards the border...

Blackheart stayed where she was keeing an aye on the fox. She studied the animal and saw he was just as skinny as she was and in a better shape then her she can tell. She made one pull and still nothing worked. The fox snarled and circled around her licking its lips and givig smiles to her. "You foxes are so dirty!" she spat. Then the fox seemed to understand her and got even more mad and lunged at her, "Eclipsedstar!!" she yelled with her eyes closed hoping someone would come and help her.
What terrible condition she was in. Her fur was rough, it didnt shine like ti use to, her eyes were coulded with dust and she was hurting all over. he was tiered from the trip and she was running the whole way. Now the last thing she needed is to be fox food! She felt the fox's breath right near her neck and the spit running down her legs and cheast. The growl was loud in her ears and heard the creepy animal lick its lips. Tears filled her eyes faster then ever. She looked up at the sky and mewed, "Shadowstar..please tell me your their! Dont forget me!" Eclipedstar..i'm so sorry! Just let me die! I'm not worth anything anymore! Starclan take me now! she yelled in her head. Her heart was ready to beat out of her cheast. She didn't dare look at the fox at all. Just one last look at the sky before she was dead.

Eclipsedstar heard a cry for Shadowstar, but it wasn't his own. He exploded into a clearing to see a black and white cat pinned in thorns with a hungry fox at its throat. A screech exploded in the air as Eclipsedstar collided with the fox. He rolled on the ground wrestling the fox, causing dust to fill the air. The fox had him pinned for the moment, but he couldn't help himself--- he stole a glance up at the cat he was rescuing and couldn't take his eyes away. It cannot be... Eclipsedstar thought, his eyes wide in shock. This is a dream! he thought with a shudder. He turned back to his enemy just in time to feel the fox's jaws clamp into his chest, narrowly avoiding his neck. He let out a caterwaul of fury and continued fighting all the more passionately. If that cat was in fact Blackheart, he would do anything to keep her safe, and even if she wasn't, the hope and memory of her made him desperate. It would be worth doing anything to find out.

blackheart then heard the fox cry out in pain and she opened her eyes and gave a big smile. While she tried to still get out of the bush, nothing was working for her. Eclipsedstar... she thought heavenly as she watched him take down the fox. Her heart was beating fast then her running.
Soon enough the fox gave up and raced away into the trees hurt and bleeding. blackheart looked after the fox and then looked at the Shadowclan leader. You have a choice here blackheart..either you say your not blackheart or you are and things will get better but he has an apprentice and look at yourself! your grose!..and..be with him in his nice warm den and sleep finally..and..everything.. her thoughts totally left her and only her the bush and the leader were alone.
