"Indeed not," Timbermoon agreed. "Not with LostClan breathing down our necks," the silver tabby added.
"You will make a fine hero. I will not fail in my teachings. This I swear by StarClan," Timbermoon promised, his face more serious than before. He had to make up for where he had failed. To others, he was a distinguished mentor and a loyal, proud warrior. But he would always feel inadequate, always knowing, that he would never live up to what they expected.

Trueeyes twitched his tail. "I wonder when Eclipedstar and Willowleaf will be back. I hope they haven't run into any trouble. Though, I doubt that Windclan is in any condition to challenge Shadowclan..." he mused.

"WindClan have their own problems without adding Clan rivalry to them," Timbermoon agreed. Greykit huddled closer to him.
"They've been gone a l-long t-t-time," she mewed in fright. Her adopted parents had never been away from her for this long. Timbermoon hugged her to him gently.
"Fear not, little one. They will return," he promised.

Trueeyes smiled sympathetically at Greykit. Eclipsedstar has eight more lives to live. He'd better come back. the tabby thought.

Trueeyes smiled. "I think that would be a great idea." he meowed. "Especially since there aren't other apprentices in the clan right now..." he trailed off, trying not to let his spirits fall. "And then Greykit could be ahead of the apprentices in the other clans when he's made into one, huh?" he said with a smile.

Trueeyes looked at the sky nervously and began to pace. How bad off was Windclan? Should Eclipsedstar and Willowleaf really be gone this long? What if something happened to them on the way or the way back? If we lost either of them, Shadowclan would be done for... he thought warily. He considered going out after them, but at the same time, could he leave camp with already so few warriors there?

"Calm down, Trueeyes. Eclipsedstar is a fine young leader. If he wasn't a proud, strong fighter, he wouldn't be leader. And Willowleaf's fierceness is not to be underestimated. Neither of them would let themselves be caught in LostClan's claws," Timbermoon attempted to quell his clanmate's worry.
Greykit nodded. "Yeah, let's play," she responded, starting to look a little less tense. She got up and then crouched, her tail swinging in the air.

Trueeyes twitched his ears and flattened them slightly. "One usually doesn't have a choice of letting Lostclan attack." he meowed curtly.
Before anything else could be said, the entrance to camp shook and Eclipsedstar was making his way into the center of camp. He had some bad cuts on his flanks, but ignored those and everyone else as he soared up on top of his den. "Let all of Shadowclan gather here for a clan meeting!" he yowled.
Trueeyes angled his head. All of Shadowclan? This is something new... he thought.

"See? I told you they wouldn't be done in so easily," Timbermoon replied as Eclipsedstar came rushing into camp, Willowleaf at his heels. But his eyes narrowed as the scent of blood and carrion entered his nostrils. Greykit had been about to pounce when the leader streaked past her. She squeaked with fright. Eclipsedstar was bleeding!
Timbermoon limped to the tree above Eclipsedstar's den where the leader usually held Clan meetings. He gestured for Greykit to sit beside him, and she rushed to him, her brown-gray tabby fur bristling with fear. Willowleaf was closest to the leader's den, turning to face the other ShadowClan cats.

Eclipsedstar's eyes fixed his clan. There was a fierceness and determination in them, but also a look of weariness. Trueeyes realized more than ever just how quickly the young tom was growing up. The responsiblities were weighing on him, but he was bearing them well. Still, it saddened him to see a young cat with so many troubles.
"Lostclan attacked Windclan while we were there." Eclipsedstar began. "Jaystar is dead." he meowed, his jawline tight. He waited while some of his clanmates cried out in fear and anger. Trueeyes dug his claws into the earth and closed his eyes for a moment. Jaystar was an honorable tom and leader, and Trueeyes had known him well. He grieved for Windclan's loss.
"Lostclan had some losses as well, but it is becoming apparent that they are becoming more and more bold. I believe this is an act of desperation." he said confidently. "I feel that it may be time for the clans to work together once more to bring down this threat. Without our aid, Windclan could have lost more of its cats. Right now, it is one of the most scarcely populated clans in the forest, and we cannot afford to lose them. When Lostclan attacks a camp, they are not attacking just one clan, but all four. They attack our beliefs and mean to defile our lands. We can either stand together, or fall one by one." he cautioned.
"I need to know if Shadowclan will stand behind me in this endeavor. I want to know your opinions." he concluded.
Trueeyes was impressed. A clan leader asking for the vote of its clan?
