Blackheart looked at her leader and padded up next to im and followed his gaze and then looked back at him and wanted to say something but she really didnt know what to say at all. She then looked at the camp and mewed, Progress. I like it. It still had been a while after her journey and she was a bit shaken after what jag had done to her but she was home and that was all that mattered. She then ooked at her leader and raised en eyebrow and waited.

Eclipsedstar caught Blackheart's gaze and smiled warmly. He then scrutinized the camp again. "We need to be more creative..." he thought. "Cats of Shadowclan!" he yowled. "These days it is more important than ever that we work together to strengthen our clan. Does anyone have any ideas on ways we can improve the saftey of our camp? We are not so lucky to have the protection of the cliff walls like thunderclan, or to be surrounded by water like riverclan. Our defenses are not as natural, but I know we can find creative means to make things more difficult on Lostclan." he offered with encouragement.
Trueeyes flicked his tail in thought and gazed around at the Shadowclan camp.

Blackheart then felt her heart sink. She had to give credit to her leader that he was trying, but really in all, lostclan will find their way around to this camp even if its kills them. She then looked down and gave a sigh. She really wanted to say something but it wouldnt be right. She then looked over at trueeyes and then up at her leader then sat down and just listened to her leader trying. It was because of her lostclan might attack really. Jag was unhappy with her leaving and escaping and she felt like he wold do anything to get her back.

Timbermoon too, gazed around the camp. They had little natural defenses to protect them from invasion. He then noticed Darkfeather trudging back into camp, carrying a mouse, but looking very cross about something. At first he thought nothing of it(she was very tempermental), but then he noticed tufts of her brown and black fur missing.
"What happened?" he asked, limping forwards to greet her as she unceremoniously tossed her catch upon the freshkill. She continued to mutter oaths under her breath, and then looked up suddenly, as though she had just realized he was speaking to her.
"Oh... I was chasing a lizard. And, it lead me straight into a nettle patch," she meowed irritably, sitting herself down, and began to preen the nettles out of her long coat. Suddenly, Timbermoon had an idea.
"What if we lined the camp with nettles?" he offered. "If we surround the camp, except for the entrance, that would keep them from surrounding us, and we'd stand a better chance of fending them off," he explained his idea, hoping it was plausible.

Eclipsedstar nodded. "That's a great idea, Timbermoon. The more we move the nettles to the borders of our camp, the less they'll be in our way when we're out hunting and patrolling as well." me meowed, relieved. The more his clan felt occupied and like they were doing something to help protect themselves, the better he believed they would feel.
"If we find enough of them, we could make a low lining of them with a higher lining of them closer to the camp. That way, if invaders think they can just jump over the lower part and crawl under the higher part, they might not noticed that we've lined the middle ground with sharp nettles and other objects. We could even try to cover part of them up with pine needles or something" he added.
"Great. See what we can find." Eclipsedstar praised.
Trueeyes nodded. He glanced at Darkfeather as he passed by. "You have a nettle on the back of your neck. Here...let me..." Trueeyes awkwardly bent forward and grasped the sharp piece of wood between his teeth and gently pulled it out. It had been a while since he had been so close to a she-cat. He had even refused to share tongues with his denmates since his last love had died.

Oh boy... she thought. She wanted to get out of camp, but she knew that Eclipsedstar wouldnt let her get out of her sight. She then glanced to her leader then out to everyone else. She still sat their deep in thought as she looked at the camp enterance. Something was pulling her out she could feel it. Then without thinking she felt her paws leading her to the enterance to the camp. Not looking back she kept going.

Eclipsedstar turned and noticed that Blackheart was gone. He opened his mouth to call her name when he heard a voice say, "let her be." The shadowclan leader turned to Trueeyes. "But..." he began. "She could handle herself before she was kidnapped, Eclipsedstar. She should have the rights of any other warrior to come and go as she pleases." he gently reminded him. Eclipsedstar sighed uneasily. He knew Trueeyes was right, but he could feel his muscles tense in worry. I just need to keep myself busy. She'll be fine. he told himself over and over again as he continued to help his clanmates line the camp with nettles.

Darkfeather let out a sigh as Trueeyes pulled the nettle out of her pelt.
"Thanks," she meowed gruffly, continuing to groom out the rest of them. Timbermoon glanced at his denmate, a knowing look in his eyes. He twitched his whiskers in amusement, before heading towards the entrance of camp. Or, at least, he was, until Willowleaf cut him off, a dangerous glow in her crystal eyes.
"Oh, no you don't!" she meowed crossly. "Not until your wound has healed," she added. Timbermoon rolled his eyes.
"That'll take ages!" he complained.
"Only if you keep opening it. Now, stop behaving like a kit and set a good example for the apprentices. A moment ago I could have sworn I saw the most respected warrior in ShadowClan," she said the last part with a nicer tone in her voice, her gaze softening with understanding. He looked taken aback, but before he could respond, the fierceness of a medicine cat returned.
"Now, off to your den, you overgrown apprentice!" she snapped, her tail pointing straight towards the warrior's den. Muttering an oath, he complied, leaving Willowleaf glaring after him, while many of his Clanmates gazed at him with sympathy while their whiskers twitched in amusement, before going out to gather nettles, thorns, and brambles.

Trueeyes' bright green eyes twinkled with amusement as Timbermoon got scolded. It almost felt like things were halfway normal in the camp with a Medicine cat yelling at a warrior. He knew exactly how Timbermoon felt, which made it even more funny to him. He tried to look down before Willowleaf caught his gaze, unsure if he succeeded. He didn't need to need to experience the empathy he was feeling.
Eclipsedstar was lost in thought, too much so to really notice the scolding Timbermoon was receiving.
Trueeyes noted the troubled young leader and sighed. "Look, I can go check on her if you'd like." he meowed. "I won't tell her that you sent me." he said an incriminating voice.

Eclipsedstar twitched his ears and flicked his poofy tail in agitation. What was taking Trueeyes so long? Why had he not come back with Blackheart yet? He tried to concentrate on his duties in camp, but was frustrated with how difficult he was finding it to do so.

Blackheart padded to the enterance of the camp and stopped gazing around for her leader. She finally spotted him but couldnt seem to move her legs. They were tied to the ground and really didnt want to go through with this. She flattened her ears and mewed to Trueeyes, "Are you sure he wont kick me out for doing this Trueeye?.."
Her gaze then fell back on her leader and then to his den. She knew sheh ad to do this but wished with all her heart it would be easier. She shook her head and backed up, "Maybe..I dont think I can do this Trueeyes....I want to...but..." she mewed almost in tears.

Trueeyes pressed his flank against hers. "I know it's hard, but I think you will feel much better after you tell him. Do you want me to go with you?" he asked, feeling her trembling frame against his.

blackheart then felt the tom come up next to her and asked if she wanted him with her..
Blackheart looked into the toms eyes and gave a nod. "please?" she mewed quietly. She then casted her gaze back on eclipsedstar wondering if he was going to notice her. She didnt realyl feel like moving or anything, but she knew she had to.

Timbermoon was more or less sulking in the warriors' den when Greypaw came up to him, her brown eyes soft.
"Greypaw, don't you know this is the warriors' den? You're lucky Darkfeather isn't in here- she'd claw your ears off!" he was kidding, of course- except for the bit about Darkfeather. He actually enjoyed the young apprentice's company.
"What's on your mind, little one?" he asked when she barely responded, and she looked up as though hearing him for the first time.
"I'm scared," she admitted, and she curled up on top of Timbermoon's outstretched forearms, leaning against his powerful chest.
"Of LostClan? Don't be- I will protect you. I'll protect them all," he said, perhaps with a bit more conviction than he actually felt. But it seemed to satisfy her, and she began to purr softly, less worried with him around to protect her. Gently he licked the top of her head and kept watch over the rest of the camp, silently, from his den.

Trueeyes nodded, his large green eyes filled with empathy for the young she-cat. He padded slowly into camp beside her, wishing he could will some of his confidence into her.
Eclipsedstar glanced around the camp. Everything was beginning to get back in order. He sighed, suddenly realizing how tired he was. He thought about curling up in his den with Blackheart, and a smile began to tug at the corners of his lips, followed by a small wave of fear. He wished she were back in camp. What was taking Trueeyes so long, anyway?
He turned as movement caught the corner of his eye. He breathed a sigh of relief and raised his tail straight up in happiness to see Trueeyes walking into camp with Blackheart. He padded over, his large furry paws soundlessly touching the ground and his muscles rippling under his dark, cascading fur.
"Is everything alright?" he asked. He searched Trueeyes' eyes for answers, but then felt guilty for appearing too worried about the both of them, remembering how the tabby had scolded him earlier for not wanting to leave Blackheart alone at all since she came back.
