Whitepaw's eyes softened when she saw Mudleaf, who had become more or less of a father figure toward her. He had took her into the Clan, and she felt especially close to him. She remembered his words that he 'would stay only until I'm sure this cat can care for herself'. Part of her feared that one day he would leave the Clan because of her, but the other part of her suspected that it was his way of saying that WindClan was his home now. She certainly hoped it was the latter.
"She's doing somewhat better now, Mudleaf. She's sleeping easier now," Whitepaw told him. She also felt particularly close to Sunstorm, who had proven herself a popular choice for deputy and a well loved warrior all around. All the Clan were concerned for her, except maybe Pantherfang, who was too busy mourning his own dead to even respond to most of his Clanmates. Thinking of Pantherfang, she remembered his role in the creation of LostClan. She always shrank back around the large black tom, fearing that if he knew she came from the very Clan who's existence shamed and angered him, he would likely kill her.

Eclipsedstar hung back a few foxlengths from the entrance of the camp, waiting for Willowleaf to go through first and announce them. They were lucky to narrowly miss a Windclanner hunting. Eclipsedstar thought it would be easier to talk to Jaystar directly, if possible.
Moontears was silent as this new tom approached. He could feel the uncertainty in him, and he could feel mixed feelings in Whitepaw too; love, fear, and admiration. He wondered where all of them were directed.

Willowleaf padded cautiosly into camp, realizing her leader was waiting for her to approach, given that she had helped WindClan a quarter moon ago, and that they were more likely to trust a medicine cat than a leader from another Clan. It was Whitepaw who sensed her first.
"Willowleaf!" Whitepaw called, bounding over to her. "Why're you here?" she asked. Willowleaf's ears flicked uncomfortably, and Whitepaw realized her answer was not for all ears.
"I'm here with Eclipsedstar. We'd like to speak to Jaystar about someting important. It can't wait for the next Gathering," she answered carefully, and in a low meow, so that few could hear. Whitepaw nodded.
"Mudleaf, could you get Jaystar for me?" Whitepaw asked.

Phoenixpaw sat still curled up, her face in her father's fur, when she sensed some tension in the camp. She turned to see Willowleaf, and wondered if Shadowclan was in trouble or came to offer aid because of their recent attacks. She had always heard Shadowclaners were frigid and self-centered, but they didn't seem that way lately, especially under Eclipsedstar's rule.

Mudleaf nodded and vanished to find the Windclan leader. Stopping in front of the tom, he meowed, "We seem to have some visiters from Shadowclan. Witepaw sent me to find you." Though Mudleaf didn't like having any cat with authority over him, he had to admit Jaystar was a leader who deserved respect, and he was glad himself and Whitepaw had been able to stay. In fact he knew he could leave already, that it was safe to do so, but something kept him here, even after Foxfire's sudden death. It was partly Whitepaw, but mostly the sense of security in belonging to a family again, even if this family was a little large, that was all the clan wsa really like to him.

Russettail looked down at his daughter and managed a tight smile but tension showed in his muscles as he saw the two new cats coming. His jaws closed lightly around Phoenixpaw's neck as he lifted her to her paws and nudged her in Whitepaw's direction. "Stay with Whitepaw for a while, I want to know whats going on" he explained. His eyes held onto hers for a moment but it was too short for him, he suddenly wished he could lift her up and carry her away to a safer place with no fear or death but that could never be. his tongue rasped over her ear quickly before he turned and padded towards Mudleaf. His eyes betrayed his question but he could wait to hear the answer from Willowleaf. Dipping his head in greeting two the shadowclanner's he sat himself beside Jaystar with expectant perked ears although his eyes strayed to Pantherfang once with longing in them, it should be him up here as well, strong and brave like russettail knew him.
Jaystar stepped forwards, giving Mudleaf a quick nod, his eyes narrowed. These two being here could not be good. His tail gave a small flick and he started forwards, Russettail on one flank Mudleaf on the other for support. His eyes widened when he saw that it was not just Willowleaf who had come but Eclipsedstar as well, hiding his emotions with a smile he greeted the two cats. "Welcome to Windclan I can guess that it is not good news that brings you to our clan seeing as it is not a full moon" his voice held a hint of his agitation, things were not well in his clan and he didn't need Shadowclan to see it for themselves.

Mudleaf followed beside his leader, eyes glinting with worry. he felt he could trust Willowleaf, but Eclispedstar, the powerful Shadowclan leader, was not someone he'd be friendly towards. He made sure he kept himself calm and padded forward with the other two toms, knowing that a threat or not, this was a dangerous situation.

"I know this must be an inconvenience to you... but I assure you, it is very important. StarClan sent for me in my dreams," Willowleaf began, looking unsure of how to place her words. She was very aware of the presence of Russettail and Mudleaf, and it made the fur along her spine prickle. She had preferred her and Eclipsedstar to speak with Jaystar alone.
"I'm not sure how much you know... but... StarClan told me that Pantherfang had lost his family..." she paused, unsure of how to say it. She swallowed before continuing, afraid of how strongly this would affect Eclipsedstar's reputation.
"... Eclipsedstar is... Pantherfang's son. That is why StarClan sent us here... to remind Pantherfang that he has not lost everything. He needs a new reason to live and fight on. Whether you realize it or not, the fate of this forest is heavily tied to Pantherfang," Willowleaf exhaled sharply, feeling anxiety well up in her chest. She feared for Eclipsedstar, who was something of a son to her, though she was only four seasons or so older than him.

Mudleaf's ears pricked in suprise. The Shadowclean leader was pantherfang's son? He considered this then realized it made some sense. They did look similar too, now that he thought about it, and a Windclan born cat had more sense than vicious Shadowclan. Thwe he shrugged and decided he wouldn't iew them as bad cats, feeling he himself was being judgemental, a quality he didn't like in most cats, because he had been judged roughly before for his rogue appearance and the usual mass of kits around him. So he had a soft spot for protecting young cats; there was nothing wrong with that, any more htan there could be something wrong with Shadowclan.

Whitepaw looked worried, though she smiled when Phoenixpaw was placed next to her by her father. She brushed her white pelt against Phoenixpaw's ember colored coat.
"How are you... holding up?" she asked, knowing how close she had Sparrowpaw had been.

Phoenixpaw looked to her father with worry, but did as she was told. She shuddered slightly as he padded away. She felt so incredibly small all of a sudden. She shrugged and sighed softly. "It just doesn't seem right. I thought we were going to be a team. I thought that meant that Starclan would keep us safe from everything..." she admitted, ashamed, as she stared at the ground.
Eclipsedstar strode into the camp, sensing tension and growing uneasy as Jaystar flanked himself with two adept warriors and Willowleaf stood by herself. Even larger than Pantherfang, he looked like another specie of cat next to the lithe built Windclanners. He sat down to feel less awkward and narrowed his eyes as Willowleaf honestly explained the situation, and let out his family's secret that had been adequately kept for almost 2 years. "I am Twilightpaw." he said simply, in a flat tone. "And I have come to grieve for and honor my family." he said, his voice authoritative, but his eyes more pleading as he repeatedly stole glances at his lifeless looking father beside his fallen family members. He lowered his eyes, unable to speak for a moment.
Phoenixpaw flicked her ears. So maybe this is why Sparrowpaw was acting so strange after the gathering! she thought in surprise. Her heart ached for the broken family. A family broken and separated, just like hers.

"StarClan will watch over us. But, they cannot interfere, Phoenixpaw. The most they can do is guide our paths and give us wisdom," Whitepaw said, pressing her nose to Phoenixpaw's flank, attempting to comfort her. She sighed, her own worries starting to claw their way back to the surface in the face of Phoenixpaw's. She glanced fretfully back at the den where Sunstorm slept, as though it would burst into flame if she did not keep checking on it.

"I wish I could know if my family was safe." Phoenixpaw blurted out accidentally aloud.

Moontears glanced at Whitepaw. "Is there somewhere around here I can collect moss? I feel like we could use more for wounds and bedding. Perhaps, I will explore the area a little bit unless I am needed here?"

"I'm not sire how much moss we have, but we can hunt for cobwebs too," Whitepaw replied. "It would probably be a good idea to take a warrior with us... but I'm not sure who we could possibly take..." Whitepaw added worriedly, her white tail twitching.
Sunstorm woke from her sleep, feeling better, stronger, from the herbs given to her. She remembered then that there was a new cat in the Clan and that he had helped her... but she couldn't quite recall his name or face, and that bothered her. It also irritated her that she knew she still couldn't move, still feeling too weak to do anything. Her muscles felt cramped and stiff. She sighed.
"Go and see your father, Eclipsedstar... he'll probably be happy to see you," Willowleaf suggested. "I would like to see WindClan's deputy, if that is all right," she turned her head to Jaystar, who seemed silent while considering all he had been told.
